I'm not quite sure how she does it, but she creates feelings in me im not quite comfortable with. With her gift for words and ability to say so much with so little, Emmy Dee has got to be one of my favorite poets. This might be stretching the truth in her eyes, but for me, its true as I adore her style.
The Age of Innocence is a great piece of work. Maybe because it involves yours truly? :) Her words make me go back to a time when I was carefree[er] and didn't have to decide if i was going to be good and sleep in my room or be "bad" and stay out all night. After the night i just spend wrestling with that paper and pulling my first semi all-nighter of the semester, it was a great little excerpt of my life to read and remember.
